LessFlux uses presets to control how videos are compressed. Instead of adjusting multiple technical parameters, you can select a preset that defines the balance between file size and visual quality.

This is one of the most important settings for video optimization, because it directly affects how much your videos are reduced and how they look after processing.

Where to find this setting

  • Go to LessFlux settings
  • Open the “Video Options” section
  • Select a value from the “Preset” dropdown

What presets control

The preset determines how aggressively LessFlux compresses your videos.

  • higher compression reduces file size more
  • lower compression preserves more visual quality

You are not changing the format directly, but how the video is processed internally.

Available preset behavior

While the exact internal values are managed by LessFlux, presets generally follow this logic:

  • Lower preset → higher quality, smaller size reduction
  • Medium preset → balanced quality and size
  • Higher preset → stronger compression, more size reduction

For most websites, the Medium preset is the best choice.
