Configure Video Processing on Upload
LessFlux can automatically optimize videos as soon as they are uploaded to your WordPress site. This removes the need for manual processing and ensures that large video files do not impact performance.
If this feature is disabled, videos will remain unoptimized until you process them manually.
What this setting does
When enabled, LessFlux will:
- detect video uploads automatically
- send them for external optimization
- return optimized versions based on your selected preset
The process runs in the background and does not require any manual action after upload.
Where to find this setting
- Go to LessFlux settings
- Find the “Video Options” section
- Enable “Trigger process on upload”
Recommended setup
For most websites, this option should be enabled.

How it works in practice
Once enabled, the workflow is simple:
- You upload a video file to WordPress
- LessFlux detects the file

Video optimization is more resource-intensive than image optimization, so processing times are longer.

It is normal for videos to remain in a pending or processing state for a short period after upload.
