Where to Find Your LessFlux API Token
To connect your WordPress site to LessFlux, you need an API token. This token acts as the bridge between your website and your LessFlux account.
Unlike other tools that use a single global API key, LessFlux works on a per-website basis. Each site you connect gets its own token. This keeps things isolated, predictable, and easier to manage.
How the process works
Before you try to connect the plugin, it’s important to understand the flow:
- you register your website inside the LessFlux platform
- LessFlux generates a token for that specific website
- you paste that token into the plugin login screen
- the plugin connects to your account using that token
If any of these steps are skipped, the connection will not work.
Step 1: Log in to your LessFlux account
Go to the LessFlux platform and log in:
Make sure you are using the account where you want this website to be connected.
Step 2: Open the Instances page
Once logged in, go to your list of connected websites:
This page shows all websites currently linked to your account.
Step 3: Copy the API token
If your website is already listed:
- find your domain in the list
- click the three dots icon on the right side
- select “Copy token”
This token is what you will paste into the plugin login screen inside WordPress.
Step 4: Add your website if it’s missing
If your website is not listed, you need to register it first.
- click “Connect New Website”
- enter your website URL
- confirm the creation
Once added, the website will appear in the list and you can copy its token.
Where to use the token
Go back to your WordPress dashboard and open the LessFlux plugin.
- paste the token into the login or connection field
- save or confirm the connection
Once connected, your site will appear as active in the LessFlux platform.
Common issues
If the connection is not working, check the following:
- you are logged into the correct LessFlux account
- the website exists in the Instances list
- you copied the correct token for that specific domain
- you pasted the token into the plugin login screen, not somewhere else
Also check your plan limits:
- free plans allow only one connected domain
- paid plans allow multiple (unlimited) domains
If you are on a free plan and already have a website connected, you will not be able to add another one until you upgrade.
What to expect after connecting
Once the token is accepted:
- your site status becomes active
- LessFlux can start processing images and videos
- you can monitor usage and activity from the platform
If the connection succeeds but nothing happens afterward, the issue is usually related to configuration, not the token itself.
